Sorella brings a little East Coast Italian-American tradition to Milwaukee's Bay View neighborhood, blending familiar flavors, modern creativity, and genuine hospitality.

Originally from New Jersey, founders Kyle Toner and Paul Damora first crossed paths at Milwaukee's Wolf Peach, where Kyle was cooking and Paul was a regular customer. Their shared passion for food and hospitality eventually led them to work together and, ultimately, to create a restaurant of their own.

In 2020, Sorella opened its doors in Bay View, bringing the Italian-American flavors of their East Coast upbringing together with a distinctly Milwaukee perspective.

Old Favorites. New Traditions.

Sorella's menu takes inspiration from the Italian-American kitchens of the East Coast, where family recipes, Sunday gravy, and time-honored traditions are part of everyday life.

Our Monday Sauce is a perfect example. Inspired by the tradition of a big pot of Sunday gravy simmering on the stove, our version is a rich, slow-simmered ragù of broken meatballs and pork. The idea? Everyone knows the sauce tastes even better the next day.

That same balance of tradition and creativity runs throughout the menu, from chicken Savoy and pork chops with cherry peppers to chicken piccata meatballs, rigatoni alla vodka, and wood-fired pizzas.

Familiar Italian-American flavors, with a little something unexpected and a distinctly Milwaukee point of view.

Since opening, Sorella has become part of the Bay View dining scene—a place for date nights, family dinners, celebrations, and spontaneous evenings out.

The atmosphere is relaxed, the hospitality is genuine, and the food is meant to bring people together. Whether you're joining us for a quick bite at the bar or settling in for a leisurely dinner, we want Sorella to feel like the kind of neighborhood restaurant you'll return to again and again.

And the name? Sorella means "sister" in Italian, a nod to Kyle's two daughters and the family connections that helped inspire the restaurant.
